Antelope Valley residents can try the new voting machines.

September 13, 2019

Antelope Valley residents can try out the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s new electronic voting machines during a “mock election” over the last weekend in September.

The voting machines, on which citizens will mark and print their election ballots using a cellphone-like touch screen, will be available to try from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, and Sunday, Sept. 29.

They will be at three locations in the unincorporated Antelope Valley:

· Mayflower Gardens, 6570 West Ave. L-12 in Quartz Hill

· Living Stone Cathedral of Worship, 37721 100th St. East in Sun Village

· Stephen Sorensen Park, 16801 East Ave. P in Lake Los Angeles.

In the Antelope Valley, the new voting machines will be used for the first time in the March 3, 2020 presidential primary election and again in the Nov. 3, 2020 general election.
