Tuesday, September 3, 10, 17 & 24

Legal Aid for Low Income Individuals, 3 to 6 pm. Services provided by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles by appointment only. Call the library at 267-5600 to schedule.



Wednesday, September 4

Midweek Movies, 5:30 pm. Top Gun (1986), rated PG. Free admission, open to all ages.



Friday, September 6 & 20

Paint, Draw, Create, 2 pm Art class for all ages with Juanita McWilliams.



Saturday, September 7

Chess for All, 10 am. Free play sessions for new and experienced players, chess sets are provided. Free admission, open to all ages.



Holistic Poetry, 3 pm. Join us in discovering and examining who we are in mind, body, and spirit through the reading, writing, and discussion of poetry. Participants are encouraged to bring their own works and the works of their favorite authors to share! Program led by local poet Lida Abramiam.



Monday, September 9

Kindness Rocks, 4 pm. Bringing the community together to spread kindness by painting rocks for others to find. Paint and rocks are provided. Free admission, open to all ages.



Tuesday, September 10

Coffee & Coloring for Adults, 10 am. We provide the coffee and coloring supplies, you provide the conversation and creativity.



STEAM Thinkshop, 4 pm. Ages 5 to 11. Enjoy activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics in a “hands on” environment.



Wednesday, September 11

Midweek Movies, 5:30 pm. Inception (2010), rated PG-13. Free admission, open to all ages.



Thursday, September 12

Page to Screen, 5 pm. Read the book then join us for a showing of the movie, we will discuss the book-to-movie adaptations, debating the age-old question of which one is better. This month will be Eat, pray, love with the movie Eat, Pray, Love (2010) rated Pg-13.



Saturday, September 14

Hispanic Heritage Month Movie, 5:30 pm. Free admission, open to all ages.

Preschool Storytime, 1 pm. Ages 3–5 with Miss Shakeena.



Tuesday, September 17

Wii U Tournament, 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Come play video games at your local library. Open to all.



African-American Authors Book Club, 6:45 pm. All adults welcome. Discussion of a new title by African-American authors each month.

Midweek Movies, 5:30 pm. Ferdinand rated PG. Free admission, open to all ages.



Thursday, September 26

Yoga, 6pm. Free yoga session led by the local yoga studio “The Yoga Roots.” Open to anyone age 16 and over.



Friday, September 27

Storycrafters Club, 3:30 pm. For children age 5-9. Join us for a monthly story and craft program.

Sunday, September 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Sports Day! – 10 am-12 pm & 2-4 pm. Bring your family and friends out to the park for some football, kickball, tennis or others! Select equipment available for check out, see park staff for details. All ages welcome.

Monday, September 2- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Field Day! 10am-12pm. Kick back and relax this Labor Day. Park staff will provide fun lawn games for families to enjoy. Free activities, families welcome.



Monday, September 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30 - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr Music Mondays – 5-7:30 pm. Park staff will offer kid activities and games to the tune of music. All ages welcome.

Travel Tuesdays, 5-7:30 pm. Patrons will explore the world this month; activities based on famous landmarks. See park staff for upcoming planned activities. All ages welcome.

Water Play, 5-7:30 pm. Stop by and cool off before we finally make it to fall. Park staff will provide small friendly water games to help keep kids cool and engaged. All ages welcome.

Fairy Tale Fridays, 5-7:30 pm. Bring your princes and princesses to the park to make some magical art. All ages welcome.



Saturday, September 7, 14, 21, & 28- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Tots Hour, 10:00-11:00 am. Tots will be provided with free hands-on activities that give them the opportunities to explore their world through a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences. Ages 2-5.



Kindness Saturdays, 2-4 pm. Patrons will make crafts or participate in activities that will motivate them to spread kindness to others. Check in with park staff to see what they have planned for the day. All ages welcome.

AV Gem & Mineral Club, 1-3 pm. The City of Palmdale is partnering with the AV Gem and Mineral Club in presenting free educational and recreational fun that surrounds our everyday life. Members from the club will share their knowledge, experiences, and answer your questions. Families are encourage to attend.

Women’s Health & Fitness Day- 5-7pm. Join more than 500 groups across the nation to promote the importance of regular physical activity and health awareness for women. Community partners include, Fitchow, Picnic Grounds and Heritage Sierra Medical Group. Free fitness hosted by Becoming Badass. Free fitness class at 5:15 pm and yoga at 6:15 pm.

Housing Rights Legal Clinic NLSLA, 9 am to 12 pm at SAVES, 1002 E Ave Q-12. The NLSLA team provides free assistance to individuals and families dealing with Reentry; clear your adult criminal record; fix errors on background reports; if your professional license is denied or revoked; understand your employment rights and new Fair Chance Hiring Laws. Free Legal Help for homeowners & tenants; issues with fair housing, eviction or homelessness, Section 8 issues, rent increases and unsafe living conditions.
