Overboard is Palmdale City Library’s Mid-Week Movie
PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., continues its Mid-Week Movies program with a showing of the movie Overboard (2018) rated PG-13 on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Admission and popcorn are free. Kate is a single, working-class mother of three who is hired to clean a luxury yacht that belongs to Leonardo -- a selfish, spoiled and wealthy Mexican playboy. After unjustly firing Kate, Leonardo falls off the boat and wakes up with no memory of who he is. To get payback, Kate shows up at the hospital and convinces the confused amnesiac that they are married. As Leonardo tries to get used to manual labor and his new family, Kate starts to wonder how long she can keep fooling her fake husband. This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Palmdale City Library. The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. Movies scheduled to be shown in September include Top Gun rated PG on Sept. 4, Inception rated PG13 on Sept. 11, Lilo and Stitch rated PG on Sept.18, and Ferdinand rated PG on Sept. 25.
