Free CERT training set for September in Lake Los Angeles.

Those in the program will get training sessions on disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, CERT organization, disaster psychology, and how CERT relates to acts of terrorism.

Following a major disaster, police, fire and medical professionals may not be able to meet the demand for emergency medical attention.

Residents and neighbors may need to rely upon one another to help with immediate life saving needs, particularly in isolated neighborhoods that may be cut off from the main roads.

The County of Los Angeles Fire Department Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training was developed through FEMA to provide basic fire safety and life saving skills.

All Classes are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, September 7, 2019 Saturday, September 14, 2019 Saturday, September 21, 2019 There is NO CHARGE for CERT classes. Please note: You must attend all sessions in order to receive a certificate of completion. (If you need to miss a particular class for any reason, that class can be made up at a later time.)
