Four People Killed In Car Crash in Lancaster

A Toyota Avalon was headed west on West Avenue H just after 12 p.m. when, according to a witness, the car ran a red light, striking a Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling northbound on 30th Street West, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. 

All three occupants of the Jetta – who were not wearing seat belts – were ejected in the crash, authorities said.

Two dogs in the Jetta also perished in the collision.

The driver of the Toyota, a male adult, also died after being taken to a hospital. Two of them died at the scene, while the third victim, described as a female adult, was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
