Sheriff's Safety Tips For Visiting The 2019 AV Fair

It's almost time for the 2019 Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival The fair is a great way to say goodbye to summer! 

The fair will open on Friday, August 16, 2019 and run through Sunday, August 25, 2019 with varying closing times. Please keep in mind that curfew will be in effect. No entry to anyone under 18 after 10pm will be granted unless they are accompanied by parent or guardian. If you are dropping your teen off for an evening of fun, please ensure you arrive before 10pm to pick them up. The fair will also enforce a code of conduct, including but not limited to: threatening, belligerent or hostile behavior of any kind will be prohibited as well as blocking any building, booth, walkway or standing or walking in large groups that block movement. For more information on the Fair's code of conduct, please check out www.avfair.com. As always, our deputies will be on foot patrol throughout the fairgrounds every night. Should you need our assistance, our Sheriff's Station office will be just inside Gate 6 near the West Avenue G-8 entrance.

We encourage parents to snap a picture of their young children as you enter the fairgrounds. Should your child get lost or separated from you, the photo will help identify what they look like and what they are wearing. It is our goal that everyone who attends the fair has a wonderful, safe and enjoyable time.
