Hard Closure, due to a fatal crash on Pearblossom Highway.

Supervisor Barger’s office to say there will be a "hard closure" - traffic barricades - on Highway 138 between Avenue T (the Four Points intersection in east Palmdale) and 75th Street East (in western Littlerock) because of a crash about 7:30 a.m. today, July 23.

The closure is likely to last for hours, Caltrans said. Please help us spread the word that the highway is closed to traffic. Caltrans was told there are three fatalities. The crash involved a big rig, which caught fire, and at least one other vehicle. There might be a third vehicle that is among the wreckage, but that is not certain, Caltrans said.

The crash is inside Palmdale city limits; the Sheriff's Department is the lead agency in the investigation.
