ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 22 THROUGH JULY 28 GENERAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION: 1 – Night time road closure on Avenue M from 10th Street West to Sierra Highway from 6 pm to 6 am on July 22 and July 23 Road closure during the night only to resurface Avenue M. Please use detours and expect delays. This is a joint resurfacing project between Palmdale and Lancaster, with Lancaster as the lead agency. There will also be intermittent lane closures on July 24 from 6 pm to 6 am to grade the shoulder along new pavement, and on July 31 from 6 pm to 6 am for restriping of the lane lines. 2 - 25th Street East from Olive Drive to Spanish Broom Drive Intermittent lane closures for guard rail replacement/repair. 3 - Pearblossom Highway from Fort Tejon Road to 25th Street East Intermittent lane closures for street maintenance work. Please use alternate route if possible to avoid major delays. 4- 9th Street East from Avenue Q-11 to Avenue Q-12 and Avenue Q-12 from 10th Street East to 9th Street East Intermittent lane closures for street work. 5 - Eastbound Technology Drive from 5th Street West to the State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway overpass and Carriage Way from Auto Vista Drive to Technology Drive Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for landscape construction. 6 - Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P) at the State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway bridge from 10th Street West to Country Club Lane Intermittent lane closures for potholing, conduit installation and repairs.
