Kern County Enforcement results from 2018 ABC grant resulted in multiple arrest.

On July 1st, 2018, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a grant from the Alcohol Beverage Control totaling $100,000.

During the grant year which ended June 30th, 2019, deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office conducted 42 decoy operations and 26 general enforcement operations.

That resulted in 132 arrests for violations ranging from narcotics charges, providing minors with alcoholic beverages, and minors in possession of alcoholic beverages.

Deputies also conducted seven IMPACT inspection operations at numerous locations in the county. These inspections are to ensure businesses licensed through ABC are up-to-date and in compliance with requirements, as well as dealing with blight issues at the locations. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to working in partnership with the community to address these issues involving underage drinking and blight issues at these ABC licensed establishments. If you have any issues with these types of locations, please contact the Kern County Sheriff’s Office or your local ABC office.
