Kindness Rocks Returns at the Palmdale Library
PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will host its “Kindness Rocks” on Monday, June 3 from 4 to 5 pm. The program is free and open to all ages. Rocks and paint are provided. “Our goal is to promote random acts of kindness to unsuspecting recipients by painting and dropping inspirational rocks for other people to find,” said Circulation Supervisor Janet McLagan. “It’s family friendly fun for adults and kids!” “The ‘rock’ movement was started to make someone smile and anyone’s day a little brighter,” added McLagan. Upcoming “Kindness Rocks” events are scheduled for July 1, Aug. 5 and Sept. 9 from 4 to 5 pm. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
