Woman Charged With Kidnapping Child From A McDonald's Restaurant.
An Arizona woman was charged today with kidnapping a 4-year-old boy earlier this week from a fast food restaurant, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Maralyn Ramos (dob 4/18/86) of Tucson, Ariz., was charged in case BA477904 with one count each of kidnapping and grand theft auto. She is expected to be arraigned in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
Deputy District Attorney R.J. Dreiling of the Family Violence Division is prosecuting the case.
On May 14, Ramos was allegedly seen picking up the boy inside a fast food restaurant and carrying him out. She attempted to get into a vehicle but a witness stopped her. Ramos fled on foot and the boy was not injured.
She was arrested the following day in a stolen car, the prosecutor said. Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $170,000. If convicted as charged, Ramos faces a possible maximum sentence of 11 years and eight months in state prison. The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
