PALMDALE -- The Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale, will host a series of Fine Art Workshops beginning on Saturday, April 27. These workshops are designed for individuals with little or no painting experience. Three workshops will be offered: Emerald Surge, on Saturday, April 27; Watching the Rising Sun, on Saturday, May 11; and The Oldest Bridge on Saturday, June 8. Each workshop will run from 9 am to 12 noon. The fee is $20 per workshop. All acrylic paint, written instructions and photos are included in the workshop fee. Students need to supply brushes, palette, medium size canvas and water container. The workshops will be taught by Marco Aguilar, who comes from a family of artists, and studied art in his native Belize. Aguilar is also is a member of the Ocean Artists Society, an alliance of the world’s top marine life artists, sculptors and painters, photographers and filmmakers who foster interest in ocean and marine life issues. “If you don’t have any experience with painting but have always wanted to give it a try, then these workshops are for you!” said Palmdale’s Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro.
