Indiana Jones Film Fest to Kick Off Summer Reading Program

PALMDALE – Palmdale City Library will kick off its annual Summer Reading Program with an Indiana Jones Film Fest running daily, Monday, June 4 through 7 at 1:30 pm. Admission and popcorn is free.

The films will be shown in order of release, starting with Raiders of the Lost Ark on Monday, June 4, The Temple of Doom on Tuesday, June 5, The Last Crusade on Wednesday, June 6 and ending with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on Thursday, June 7.

“True to this year’s theme, ‘Reading Takes You Everywhere,’ we thought it fitting to pair our favorite fictional archaeologist and his adventures with our program,” said Library Director Robert Shupe. “Guests just may become inspired to let their City library’s books, magazines, movies and activities take them anywhere and everywhere they can think of!”

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Palmdale City Library.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.

For more information, please call the Palmdale City Library at 661/267-5600 or TDD 267-5167, or visit www.cityofpalmdale.org/library
