Meet the candidates:
In 2007, Johnathon was appointed to the Muroc Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees on Edwards Air Force Base, dedicating his efforts to continued academic achievement for all students in the face of declining local and state revenues. Spending his adult life serving his country and community, Johnathon is ready to take the next step as a State Senator.
He will lead the fight to create mortgage-paying jobs, expand educational opportunities, promote small businesses, help our seniors and make our neighborhoods safer
In 2002, Sharon was elected to the California State Assembly where she served as a proud and effective advocate for her constituents. After serving three terms as an Assemblywoman, Sharon ran and was elected to the State Senate in 2011.Runner was elected to fill out the remaining two years of Knight’s term, but she has previously said she “absolutely” plans to seek a full Senate term in 2016.
Star is running for the State Senate seat, which has never been held by a Democrat, let alone a Democrat woman! Star believes that part of the reason why a Democrat woman has never held the Senate seat, stems from the cause of “oppressive barrier
Star committed to giving back to her community and has served on several other nonprofit organizations as Board of Director or Consultant, which she says: “they have all been a rewarding endeavor.”
Steve established his own company, Anaverde Appraisal, in the Antelope Valley in northern LA county. Having been a witness to the mortgage meltdown and the ongoing Wall Street corruption, as well as the underrepresentation for the working class families of America
