Barbara McNairy to Celebrate New CD Release with Concert at The Palmdale Playhouse

PALMDALE – Local gospel recording artist Barbara McNairy will celebrate the release of her 8th CD, He Showed Up, with a special concert on Saturday, April 23 at 6 pm at The Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale. Tickets are $10.

A two-time Bravo Music Award nominee, McNairy has performed with renowned singers Albertina Walker, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and Reverend Calvin Bridges, as well as opening for Vicki Winans, connected with the famous Gospel group The Winans.

McNairy will perform selections from her new CD, He Showed Up, which features a blend of contemporary and inspirational Gospel including the contagious and melodic “Can I Get a Witness,” as well as some of her best loved songs from previous releases such as “No One Like You,” “He Is So Amazing,” “Restoration” and “I Owe It All to You.”

McNairy is currently a teacher with the Palmdale School District. For the past 25 years she has taught 6th grade and served as fine arts choir director at Joshua Hills Elementary School.
