Become a Class Instructor

Do you have a talent or skill that you'd like to share with others? The City of Lancaster invites you to become a part of the Parks, Recreation & Arts Special Class Division. We recruit instructors to teach a wide variety of classes that provide local residents with positive recreational experiences, offers opportunities to learn new skills and encourages community involvement. Classes can be taught at your place of business or at any of the park community centers located in Lancaster.

Classes are additionally promoted on the City public access channel 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The City registers all class participants on a first come, first serve basis. Each instructor determines his or her own class size & fee. The City of Lancaster requires that instructors complete a class proposal, demonstrate their craft, provide two references & social security number and complete background check prior to teaching classes.
