To commemorate 100 years of service to the students of the Wilsona School District,

Lake Los Angeles – Wilsona School District will be celebrating their Centennial with a reception on Friday March 4 in the multi-purpose room at Challenger Middle School. The hours will be between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. To commemorate 100 years of service to the students of the Wilsona School District, the Board of Trustees will be hosting a reception for all those who have served or attended the district. At the reception a 25 year time capsule will be opened and repacked.

Seven of the middle school students contributed to the centennial banner (pictured) that teacher Mark Murray put together. The original work by the students is on display in the window of the schools administrative office. Those seven students will receive certificates for their contribution. At the elementary level there was a bookmark contest. Fifteen first to third place winning bookmarks at each grade level will be revealed. The elementary students will be getting certificates also. There will be one grand prize and gift cards for all of the art work awarded at the February Board of Trustees meeting on February 18 at 3:30pm.
