Palmdale City Library to Host Genealogy Class This Saturday

PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host a free “Beginners Genealogy” class this Saturday, Feb. 13 at 11 am in the Chimbole Cultural Center, located at 38350 Sierra Highway in Palmdale.

 

The class is free but registration is required. Register online atwww.cityofpalmdale.org/library and click on the event flier.

Guest instructor Karla Archuleta of the Lancaster Cemetery will lead the class.  She will follow up on her previous genealogy session at Library with this class that will discuss using U.S. census data to trace family history. Attendees may bring their laptops to follow along as well.

 

“Genealogy is a very rewarding field – learn more about where you came from at the Library!” said Library Director Thomas Vose.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
