The City of Lancaster will be hosting an USTA sanctioned Junior Novice tennis tournament


JCJ/ATA Lancaster Boys and Girls Junior Novice Tennis Tournament

The City of Lancaster will be hosting the JCJ/ATA Lancaster Boys and Girls Junior Novice Tennis Tournament at Lancaster City Park on Saturday, May 14, 2016.

Player warm-up begins at 8 a.m. Games begin at 9 a.m. The tournament length will depend on the number of participants.

This junior novice tennis tournament is sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), which is the governing body for tennis in the USA.

USTA rules will govern play; USTA certified tournament officials will be on site to assist players with USTA rules, scoring, and sportsmanship.

Junior novice is a level for youth who have little or no tennis tournament experience. There are several age divisions for boys and girls, all competing in a round-robin format where each player will play all players within their division. First and second place awards are given for each division.

Boys & Girls 12-16 yrs. play 78' yellow ball 10 & Under play 60' orange ball

Registration is $23 per participant and must be done through the USTA TennisLink website. Entries close May 11, 2016.
