“Bedbugs” Invade Palmdale Playhouse Stage This Saturday

PALMDALE – The Palmdale Playhouse’s Junior Summer Theatre Camp will present the creepy crawly comedy “Bedbugs” this Saturday, June 27 at 2 and 6 pm at the Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale.

“Bedbugs” is the story of Marie, a little girl who likes to jump on her bed. But to the bedbugs being squished underfoot, she is the wicked witch who causes earthquakes, among other natural disasters. The microscopic citizens of her bed are up in arms — and legs! So, the bedbugs launch a full-scale attack against Marie, prompting her to investigate with her magnifying glass. To her surprise, there really are bedbugs…and they have something to say!

“Are wicked witches always bad?,” asks Palmdale Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. “That depends on your perspective. Crawling with laughs in a fun way, ‘”Bedbugs” will remind you there are always two sides to every story!”

Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado, “Bedbugs” was written by Leah Genuario.

Tickets are $7 all ages, and available online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/playhouse, at the recreation and culture office, 38260 10th St. East, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 6 pm, or at the box office two hours before show time. A family-four pack is available for $20 (not available online).
