200 ELIGIBLE FORMER FOSTER YOUTH WILL RECEIVE $1,000/MONTH FOR TWO YEARS

Los Angeles, Calif. Los Angeles County is offering $1,000 monthly payments to a select group of young adults.
The program, titled Breathe, will select 200 applicants to receive these payments over the course of two years.
The window for this application will open on June 20 at 6 a.m., and will close on July 3 at 11:59 p.m.
To qualify for the guaranteed monthly check from Los Angeles County, an applicant must be at least 21 years old and must not have turned 24 before Sept. 1, 2023. Further, the applicant must have been in care on or after their 18th birthday (aka “aged out”).
Who is Eligible?
Be 21 years old when applying and under age 24 (won't turn 24 until September 1, 2023 or later)
Be a former LA County DCFS Foster
Live in a Neighborhood in Los Angeles
Have a household income that falls at or
below 100% AMI for a single person household or 120% AMI for a household
Have been negatively impacted by
Not be currently enrolled in another
