Los Angeles, CA.- Recently, the Antelope Valley has struggled with packs of loose dogs displaying predatory pack behavior, a high number of stray “desert dogs” putting themselves at risk running in traffic, and puppies in need of care. DACC is stepping in to protect public safety and help those animals in less-than-ideal environments.

Yesterday, our team conducted a strategic sweep of several areas where these problems occur, and was able to identify multiple problem properties and take in 18 dogs. Extensive follow-up is planned in consultation with our Major Case Unit to prevent unsafe conditions, breeding, and more. The work is not over yet.

A special thanks to the District Attorney Detectives as well as SPCALA for assisting us in this endeavor.
